I have summarized some PDF maps (which seems to be exported from AutoCAD) to a single file and got some hundred layers then. While I was managing to get rid of unwanted layer I saw that some improvements would be useful...

1. a function to delete all empty layers (which don't have any visible objects)
2. "extracting pages" should have a filter to disable copying of layers (related to other pages)
3. the layer panel should show use a bold font for the title of collapsed layers when an "active" page is shown. Actually it is needed to expand all layers in the panel which makes it difficult to find all pages in a document which have objects for any layers.
4. when deleting a layer, all layer in the panel are expanded, the collapsing/expanding state shouldn't be changed here.
