Flatten comments -> annotations

Post by zarkogajic »

Hi Support,

I was looking for how to flatten some form fields. Expecting to have "flatten" option under "Form" or "Document" menu.

Found it under "Comments".

The "Flatten Comments" menu item would bring up a dialog named "Flatten Annotations" - so why not call the menu item "flatten annotations" or at least "flatten annotations and comments"?

p.s.
I know I can add the command item to anywhere I like...

Re: Flatten comments -> annotations  SOLVED

Hello zarkogajic,

The PDF specification uses "Annotations" as the term, but people are more used to "Comments" - the two are pretty much interchangeable as far as PDF files are concerned with the spec referring to one and most people to the other.

I will bring this up to the UI guys to see if we can straighten the wording in the UI itself as well!

Kind regards,
Stefan
