When creating New Stamp from Selection of base content items, only a portion of the selection might be reflected SOLVED

Hello all,

I have found that attempting to create a stamp from a selection for particular base contents can result in selection omissions depending on how the selection is made. The issue only occurs for specific base content, as in the attached sample file, not in general.

The following is the verification procedure. The issue occurs at the very end in the verification. The corresponding timecode in the video is also included. ([MM:SS] "MM" shows minutes, and "SS" shows seconds.)

• [00:04] After enabling edit mode, select all base content items, copy them to the clipboard, and show that they can be successfully pasted onto the second page.
  
  [00:17] Selecting the top half of the base content items and choosing "New Stamp from Selection..." from the right-click menu will result in the selection being correctly reflected in the preview.
  
  [00:23]-[00:39] Similar operations on the bottom, left, and right halves of the base content items will also work correctly.
  
  [00:40] However, if you do the same for the entire base content items, some base content items will be missing.

The above verification covered the case where all items were selected, but this is just an example. There are other selections where issues can occur.

Many thanks for the detailed problem description and the video!
It seems that the number of objects selected has an effect. These are all inside XForms and that is likely also having an effect.
I will now ask our devs to investigate this further and see if we can implement a solution for this type of file:
#6464: New Stamp from Selection does not take all selected objects into account.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this in detail and creating the ticket!
The above file was originally created in Drawboard PDF and further edited in PDF-XChange Editor.
Although it could be imported as a stamp in Acrobat, the output format in Drawboard PDF might be a bit special.

I just wanted to give a quick update here, after a little more testing, I found that this same issue occurs with the "new document from selection" function as well, the Ticket was updated to specify that this pertains to both issues, since they appear to be related, and that relation may help to resolve it more quickly.
