Enabling the snap to object feature and changing the width of the form field will snap it to a position off the edge

Post by rakunavi »

=== UPDATE ===================================================================
The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.6.0 build 396.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================

Hello all,

This report describes the behavior when changing the width of a form field when snapping to object is enabled.

For example, as shown in the first half of the verification video, if you select the base content of a rectangle and try to change its width, it will snap to both the edge and the opposite edge to which the operation handle belongs.

In contrast, as shown in the second half of the verification video, if you select a form field and try to change its width, it will snap to the opposite side of the edge to which the operation handle belongs, but not to the edge itself, which is a bit off. Since the snap icon is displayed, it is assumed that snapping is working internally. However, I don't understand why it snaps to a position slightly off the edge to which the operation handle belongs, rather than to the edge itself.

What is very strange about this happening is that if you change the "Threshold” in the "Customize Snapping" dialog, the displacement between the snap position and the edge changes. I have the impression that the position just for the snapping threshhold has been used as the snapping position as it is.

Since the snapping function has been gradually improved in each build, we may not need to worry too much about the differences in the functionality of each object. However, since the snap icon is displayed, it is possible that the developer has already completed the implementation, so I thought I would report this in the hope that you would check before starting on anything else.

Hoping that the above information will be of some help to you.
Thank you so much for your continued support.

Best regards,
rakunavi
