Does Default Layer command (ID:cmd.defaultLayer) have the same feature as the drop-down list at the top of Layers pane?

=== UPDATE ===================================================================
The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.6.0 build 396.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================

Hello all,

I have a question about the Default Layer command (ID: cmd.defaultLayer).

  • dialog.png
When this command is placed on the toolbar, as shown in the first half of the verification video, it appears to work in the same way as the drop-down list for selecting the default layer at the top of the Layers pane. That is, all three drop-down lists framed in yellow green in the figure below seem to work together.

However, once I close and reopen the file with the layers set, the Default Layer command I placed earlier no longer works, as shown in the second half of the verification video. Is there something wrong with my usage? Or does the command have a different purpose than I assume?

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Best regards,

Hello, rakunavi

Thank you for the report, I have reproduced this and reported it to the Dev team. I also found a fun interaction when restarting the app then checking the dropdown menu again.

Kind regards,

Hello Daniel, thank you for taking the time to look into this.

It is just a relief to know that the command usage itself is appropriate.
Please give my best regards to developers.

rakunavi
