Red line below words, even when spell check is off SOLVED

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing great.

I have turned off the spell check by going to Review / Spell Check, and unchecked all the three checkboxes. The problem I'm seeing is that there is still a red line below misspelled words. Any help is appreciated.

May I ask for a screenshot of the place where you turned the spellchecker off?

Also, please tell me which version is your PDF Editor?

My version is 10.6.1, build 397 (Jul 21, 2025; 23:35), installed on a Windows 11 Pro operating system.

I unfortunately forgot to mention in my main post that the problem I face is that red lines are drawn under misspelled words in "comments".

Please let me if there is any other information that I can provide to help. Thank you in advance.

Hello peter92,

Open the Spell Checker Settings dialog from the Plugins category in the Preferences dialog, disable the following settings, and then restart the application. This should give you the results you want. If you don't want to use spell check at all, you can uncheck the spell check plugin in the Plugins list and set it so that the plugin itself is not loaded.
