[bug build 403] cannot export as TIFF SOLVED

Hi,

I'm experiencing a bug since updating where I can no longer export an image as a TIFF. The process gets indefinitely stuck at 92% "Exporting to images..." and must be force exited in task manager.

I've tested on multiple systems and can reproduce the bug with Export to Images > Image Type: TIFF. I've tested with multiple compression options as well as full page and partial snapshot with no luck. Exporting to other image formats (tested PNG and JPEG) works fine.

Version 10.7.5, build 403

I am facing an issue while using the "Export to Image(s)" function in PDF-XChange Editor.

When I try to export a PDF page to an image (especially in TIFF format), the process always gets stuck at 92% and never completes. I waited for more than 10 minutes, but it does not progress beyond 92%. I have to cancel it manually.

Here are my system details:
- Software: PDF-XChange Editor (latest version or specify build number, e.g. Build 403)
- OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Export Settings:
• Image Type: TIFF
• Resolution: 150 dpi (also tried 300 dpi)
• Export Mode: Save all pages to a multi-page image file

I tried other formats (PNG, JPG), and they work fine — only TIFF export causes this problem.

Could you please check if this is a known issue or provide a fix or workaround?

Literally purchased a license today and immediately found out I have this same issue.

It remains responsive (ie I can drag the window around). Also, if I try to open another file, the main window title updates to "Queued for open". However, if I hit cancel, nothing happens. If I terminate the process, when I open the app back up it presents the recovery pane and it said the recovered document was 700MB. The actual document is only 337kb.

The file I was attempting to export is proprietary, but I just tried a user manual for a UPS from Tripp Lite and it seems to do the same thing.

it is a known issue that has a fix available in the next release. If you need that functionality now you can roll back to the previous version until the fix is released.

Yes, the bug is no longer present in build 404.
