Hi, Jensen Head

can I ask for a screen shot?

I think I am looking at the right thing but I don't have options you refer to:

Hello Paul and Jensen Head,

@Paul
I can imagine what Jensen Head is trying to say, as I have similar hopes.

For example, to set up a link to a named destination Page_005 that has already been set up, the current operation would be as follows.

  • Animation1.gif
If we can double-click on the named destination and close the dialog, we can skip the last step. The following video shows an image of the operation. This video was created by deleting frames from the actual captured video.

  • Animation2.gif
    The capture software used (ScreenToGif) displays a yellow circle around the mouse cursor when the left mouse button is clicked and a red circle when the right mouse button is clicked, so you can tell which mouse button was clicked just by looking at the screen.
Perhaps those who prefer such an operation will also like the double-click on the destination in the Named Destinations pane. I have requested this feature before and it is already available in build 365.

@Jensen Head
If I am wrong, I would appreciate it if you could point it out.

Best regards,
rakunavi

Hi, rakunavi

well that makes perfect sense and I very much appreciate you pointing me in the right direction here!

Changing this will be at the discretion of the development team, I have asked, and we will have to see what they decide.

@rakunavi, you are absolutely right. Forgive me for forcing you to do my job for me.

I am using build 387, and in it, double-clicking does not close the window. The behavior of double-clicking in this list is completely identical to the behavior of a single click, and you have to perform an additional action by clicking OK.

You reported that this feature was implemented in the 365 build, but for demonstration purposes you had to use montage. Correct behavior broken?

Hi Jensen Head, thank you for your comment.

The feature you are requesting has never been implemented yet. What was implemented in build 365 is a completely different feature, which is the ability to assign a destination when double-clicking an item in the Named Destinations pane. However, the feeling of double-clicking on a named destination is similar, so I just wanted to introduce this feature as a reference for those who are not yet familiar with it.

Sorry for the misleading and confusing way I wrote this.

Best regards,
rakunavi

Hello rakunavi,

I agree that the two things (ticket 6013 for setting links to named destinations from the destinations pane) and to be able to double click on the list in the pop-up window are quite similar, so I hope that this request will be approved soon. I will check with Paul on what was the feedback he got from our devs on this one.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello, Jensen Head

Unfortunately I cannot find record of the conversation, but it does not seem a ticket was ever made for this - so it is safe to assume it was rejected at the time. I will raise the topic once more today to see if it would be reconsidered.

[update] - for the time being it has been rejected. We may reconsider later, but I cannot make any promises.
