Hello!!
We switched to Xchange editor from Bluebeam recently, happy so far but there are 2 things I am lacking currently:
1- Being able to faint the whole file or any particular page.
We are using it to mark up and put sketches on pdf but since we work on architectural drawings, it doesn't always shout out. (some architects use so much color) If we could faint the base drawing, that would have been awesome.
2- Unflatten.
When we send the drawings, we want to flatten but also unflatten them after we send them to be able to make further changes. So that the receiver won't be able to make changes or pick up the markups on Adobe whatsoever but we will be able to markup anytime we want.
Apart from these, we are adding our own tools (stamps) by drafting them, if there is a library we can use to download some civil/structural design stamps, we can benefit, that would be good.

Hello YFPART,
I am not sure how BlueBeam was doing it - however you can easily achieve the desired effect with an annotation with transparency.
E.g. - make a white rectangle over the desired area, and then change it's opacity to e.g. 80 or 60 % - and you will get a result like this: Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello everyone,
do you have a solution for point 2 in the meantime?
We are also think about switching from Bluebeam to xchange Editor and I am trying it at the moment in a demo version. Now I am searching for a possibility to unflatten stamps or or comments.

Hello PLE,
Flattening is a one way operation , as information is lost in the process - and there is no way to "unflatten" other than to unto the operation.
Or better yet - make a copy of the original file, flatten it and send that flattened version, and then continue working on the original.
Kind regards,
Stefan
