Discussion on indent width with or without bullet points
It seems to be the same regardless if it is numbered, bullet points or just text

is it just me or are indents HUUUUGE in PDF-XCE, is there a way to reduce this?

I think we have discussed this slightly in the past, but maybe there are any updates?

indent size report , there wider indents for smaller font sizes, and it becomes less evident if you make the font size gigantic
Please check the attached PDF file below for the typewriter.
Maybe this is more for typewriter textboxes than actual textboxes.

Hanging indent, and Left indent (or right indent if you are using RTL formatting) will impact this, as you can see here. This is with 12pt text.
Before editing (default app settings):

After edit (note that indent can have a negative value):

Hmm... but these indent settings in the properties of the textbox have to be edited manually each time you place a new textbox, is that right?
Or does applying the formatting to the tool include these properties?

You can use the "copy/apply style" options on the Format tab to quickly share this without changing the default style for each comment type.

I also marked something else which I missed earlier here. The "tab stop" setting needs to be altered as well in order for the "hanging indent" changes to function.

Hmm... maybe you could consider adding these indent properties to typewriter/textbox custom presets as well?
