Macro Page First Text Line %[FirstLine] not working

Post by ger_immo »

Hello,
i'm trying to use the %[FirstLine] macro for naming files, when i split a large pdf file into smaller ones. Sadly there seems to be no way to get the macro working.

Here are 2 test files, which do not extract the first line of each page:
  • test_line2.pdf
  • test_line3.pdf
Are there special requirements for the first line macro, where the line must be placed or which color the line must have?
The help https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxe ... ne_ed.html for the macro does not give hints on this.

I tried Editor Plus V9.5 and the current version 10.0.1.

Thanks for your help!

Hello ger_immo,

That %[FirstLine] macro is only for bookmarks, and it uses the first line of a specific page. That's why you can not use it for a naming macro - as it does not know which first line to use.

Kind regards,
Stefan
