How can I display Three Pages Continuously?

Post by Michael_Swinton2 »

How can I display three or more pages continuously? If this is not possible yet, I would be grateful if you could consider implementing it. Many thanks in advance.

Hello Michael,

I do not think that the PDF Specifications allows that, but I think you can achieve what you need that way:

..or by stretching the Thumbnails pane:

Thanks for letting me know the workarounds. The first workaround using the ribbon layout is close to what I was looking for but it only allows me to scroll through the document when I stick to the Fit Page document size. The second workaround using thumbnails seems to be a bit of waste of screen real estate.

Hello Michael_Swinton2,

The Thumbnails does indeed reserve 'square' boxes for each page - so that if you have e.g. a mix of portrait and landscape pages in your file - they can all be shown within their respective 'square' - so yes - it would seem like there's some wasted space to the sides of each portrait page, but those are the workarounds we can currently offer.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello Dimitar, hello Stefan,

Dimitar's workaround #1 has another down side for me in that it appears to always apply to all tabs. In my use scenario, I currently only have one document in a tab that requires the ribbon layout workaround, the other tabs would be more functional in the default layout. Is there a way to address this?

Hello Michael

Please try to disable this option, and see if it helps:

I agree that on UWHD / UWQHD / 5K Ultrawide monitors it is much more convenient to work with a document in the "Three Pages" mode (if it was available) than in the "Two Pages" mode, which wastes screen space.

Hi,

I've made a feature request in our internal ticketing system, although I don't believe it's something that conforms to the PDF specs.

Let's see what our developers have to say about it.

#6399: FR: Adding the ability to view documents in Three Pages Continuous mode
