Shortcuts for stamps?
Hi
Anyone know if it's possible to assign an individual stamp to a shortcut (keyboard) keystroke, as you can for menu items?
I use stamps a lot for proofreading and this would be a real time saver.
Thanks, Chris.

Re: Shortcuts for stamps?
Hi Chris,
Unfortunately there's no way to do this as stamps are dynamically loaded in the Editor after you start it (and you can e.g. remove a stamp collection between Editor sessions), so shortcuts are not quite feasible for such dynamic content.
What I can recommend is for you to specify a shortcut for e.g. the stamps palette, so that you can open it quicker. Also if you have multiple stamp collections, you can compact all but one collection, so that you can click through to the correct stamps faster. Such compacted collections will stay closed between sessions as well.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Shortcuts for stamps?
Hi Stefan
I suspected as much. Too bad.
I've already done what you suggested, including shortcuts for the stamp palette and line tools.
Thanks for the quick response.
Still pretty cool though!
My only other (fairly minor) gripe is not being able to stretch stamps in one direction. They only have handles on the corners, so you can only size them preserving the aspect ratio, as far as I can see. I suppose there's not a secret way to get around this one?
Oh - and can you navigate between stamps (or just go to the first one) with a keystroke?
Best Regards, Chris.

Re: Shortcuts for stamps?
Hi Chris,
Glad to help, and sorry that I will have to disappoint you with my replies to your new questions too.
The stamp is predefined and "locked" in a stamp collection, so it's aspect ration indeed has to be preserver and will match that of the original stored in the collection. No way around that.
There's no way to go quickly through stamps or to the next/previous with just keys either.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Shortcuts for stamps?
Hello, TrivialEngineer
It's no issue at all, though it would also help to include the ticket number in question, for quick reference:
#7198: FR: Editor - Hotkeys / Shortcuts for Stamps using numbers (dynamically loaded)
Thank you very much for spreading the news.
Kind regards,
