Issue Eraser Tool - Tip size is not displayed when using a stylus

Hi,

The Eraser Tool tip size is not displayed when I use a stylus.


This screenshot is when I use a mouse.

My device

- PDF X-Change Editor 10.3.0 build 386
- Windows 11 23H2 build 22631.3447
- Huawei Matebook E 2022
- Stylus : M-Pencil 2nd gen

This is working fine on my end with our test devices, though I will admit I do not have your specific model on hand to work with. In any case, this would not be something on our end, but a windows setting (or a limitation of your stylus itself). Please first check under the windows "Bluetooth & devices > Pen & Windows Ink" menu, and ensure that "additional pen settings > show cursor" is enabled.

If that does not work, there may be some additional device specific stylus driver settings you can use to manipulate this behaviour.

Enabling Show cursor in Bluetooth & devices > Pen & Windows Ink menu fixed the issue.

I don't want to show my stylus cursor when browsing the operating system though.

It will be great if PDF-XChange forces it even if that feature is enabled.

I mean for the Eraser Tool only(there's no need of a cursor to be shown using the pencil, highlighter, strikeout etc tools with a stylus in my opinion, it feels unnatural)

I don't have such issue with Drawboard PDF.

At this time, that is not something we plan on changing, but perhaps the Dev team will reconsider in the future.

I noticed that Medbooster already reported this.

As said in the topic, the cursor is quite distracting.

As Dan stated both there and here - this is unfortunately not a high priority item for us, so for the time being we can not say if or when this might be addressed.
