Text Field Alignment and Dropdown Icon

Post by stibi »

Hello,

I'm creating a fillable form and use the Text elemnts. Is there any way to adjust the vertical text alignment or margines to top / bottom?

The text is very much shifted to the top which makes the alignment of the textboxes not easy:

And a Top, center, bottom alignment would be very helpful.

I'm also using a dropdown which is wokring fine. However, is there a why to hide the dropdown icon after selection? Or at least for printing? When I print and save as PDF, the ICON is still visible:

Thanks & best regards

Hi, stibi

regards aligning form fields to other objects, we are looking into improving how we do this, but I believe other tasks are taking priority and it may be some time before you see changes here. For the time being I would recommend using the arrow keys with your form field selected to perform fine adjustments to the field placement on the page

Regarding the dropdown, look to the field's properties, there is an option in the "Visibility" parameter to hide it when printing:

I hope that helps.

I am having the same issue with printing. The icon prints for a list or a drop down item in the forms functions.

If I change the properties of the box to "visible but not printed", then the selection is not printed on the form.

This property change does not resolve the printing issue.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi, tkrueger2012

I am not sure I understand what you are describing.

You said you set the properties to "visible but not printed" - so it is expected that is does not print.
This property change does not resolve the printing issue.
Can you detail your printing issue? From what I am seeing it is doing what you asked.

What am I missing?
Best regards

I'm 99.9% sure (s)he wants the drop-box "button" not to print. As it currently sits, this is what one of the fields looks like, and when hidden it completely removes it from the print, contents and all.

Hello cybordemon,

Welcome to the Forum!

Your 3rd screenshot is what I would usually expect a dropdown box to be printed as:

So in this case we would need some more information about the steps taken and expected result.
Best regards,
