Hi,
It's a feature request.
Feature description
Make Find button as a toggle. Click again should close it.
Why ? User scenario
I use a touchscreen device and the cross icon is too small even in touch-optimized UI. Making Find as a toggle will improve the touch experience.
Additional info
That feature is already available with Search... feature
Closing the Find feature with the cross icon remember the text input so it would make sense to also keep that behavior with the toggle
Thanks for considering this,
"Find" button toggle

Re: "Find" button toggle
Hello Loki@99,
It seems like we already have a ticket for this:
4348 FR: Allow Search/Find button to toggle visibility on repeated presses
I will just bump it's priority now.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: "Find" button toggle
This suggestion is also useful to me.
In addition, it would be nice to be able to move the Find dialog to any corner of the document window, since I moved my Find button to the left sidebar.
An even more ideal solution would be to make the Find dialog follow the last activated button's location, to handle the CTRL-F keyboard shortcut, in-case there are multiple Find buttons pinned. Or maybe have an option to use a default location in-case of keyboard activation.

Hello, JimmyD
Thank you for the support, I have added that to the ticket.
As for your latter suggestions, I cannot make any promises, but I will pass them along for consideration.

Thank you for rising the ticket priority.
As an additional note, that toggle should also automatically open and close Touch Keyboard on touchscreen devices.
Thanks for passing this to devs fluent with touch related items,
