Can't add text to PDF anymore in 10.4

Recently I updated to 10.4 and I was surprised to see a shopping cart near the Add Text feature. This has been available forever and is now removed even though I have a paid license?

Just to make sure I rollbacked to version 10.3 and I can Add Text just fine with no license restriction.

Is that a bug or you are slowly removing features that were available before even for the current perpetual licenses?

I can promise you it was not an intentional change. The Dev team is aware, so yes, this is a bug and should be fixed in the next release.

After speaking with the Dev team on this, we realized, you mentioned the "add text" tool specifically (I was thinking of adding text to an existing block with the edit tool). This one has always been a paid feature.
From a "free feature" perspective, only the "Edit Text" tool is intended to be freely accessible. Sorry for the confusion. No changes have occurred in recent releases.

Your license is probably not in product maintenance anymore so you can't upgrade to 10.4 which is a major version for free.

Thanks for your quick answers, really appreciated.

I just checked and indeed my license expired Sep 8 and the 10.4 was released Sep 10 (?) so that's probably the reason as you mentioned.
I thought major versions would be the first number (10, 11, etc), like in semver.

Will upgrade my license or stay in 10.3.
