Intune supersedence for updating.

Post by Pandersen »

We are trying to update PDF-XChange Editor from 9.4.364.0 to 10.4.3.391 with Intune supersedence for a larger number of devices. I have tried both with update and replace supersedence.
Install and uninstall from the Company Portal Work for both applications, but not supersedence. Is there a specific way this needs to be setup or do I have to go about it another way?

Hello Pandersen,

Welcome to our forums and thanks for your enquiry!
We have these pages dedicated to sysadmins deploying via Intune:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/sysadmin/d ... ntune.html

But I have not seen Intune supersedence before. Please check whether the information on the above page is helpful, and if you still need further support - I will ask a colleague with sysadmin experience to take a look at this and advise further.

Kind regards,
Stefan

We use pretty much that setup, except instead of LOB we use Windows App (win32). However since there doesn't appear to be a way to configure the tracker updater without going through the GUI we might have to use supersedence to update.

Hi, Pandersen

I think that prudent. You should literally just be able to update the MSI with a newer version.

I am keen to hear how it goes.
