When converting Excel file with "Convert to PDF" of MS Office Add-In, Y-coordinates of links are gradually shifted

Post by rakunavi »

Hello all,

When I set a hyperlink to a cell in Excel and convert it to PDF using the "Convert to PDF" button in the Microsoft Office Toolbar Add-in, I noticed that the Y-coordinate of the link corresponding to the cell shifts a little as the row goes down (see attached file "pdfxce.pdf"). Around the last line, the Y-coordinate of the link is offset from the text content by almost a full line, so it no longer makes sense as a link.

I verified this just after adding a new user in Windows, so all settings in Windows, Excel, and PDF-XChange Editor PRO are default settings. If any special settings are required, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Incidentally, when converted to PDF using Excel's Export function, the Y-coordinates of all links correspond to the cells (see attached file "microsoft.pdf").

In the PDF-XChange Editor example above, I know that if I select all the links in the PDF-XChanger Editor and scale them down by 98.3% in the Transform Selection dialog, the Y-coordinates of all links will correspond to their respective text. However, I very much doubt that is the solution.

Hello, rakunavi

Thank you for the sample files, this one is already on the radar and we have a ticket for it, I have just added and note and requested an update on its status as well though.

RT#6082: Bug: Excel conversion, links improperly placed
