Split/Merge PDFs
How do I see or view all pages in the PDF files and edit/delete/move left/right/up/down from multiple files or one PDf file selected? I used to do this earlier but today my company has given me new laptop and installed this PDF-tools software in which I can't see that option at all. My requirement is basically I wanted to delete some specific pages from a given pdf file and save it as a new pdf document. Similarly merge 2 or more pdf files by deleting some pages. See the attached screenshot. I wanted to see/view all pages in the PDF file selected rather than just a file name in the "Choose Input Files" window.

Re: Split/Merge PDFs
Hello Jasunai,
Welcome to our forums.
I believe that these KB articles will be useful in showing you how to perform the needed operations:
How do I re order pages in the Editor?
How do I copy pages between open documents using the Thumbnails pane?
How do I Combine/merge Documents or Pages?
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Split/Merge PDFs
It seems that the information in the provided links/docs doesn't fully address my query. I have experience editing pages within the PDF Tools but not in the PDF-XChange Editor Thumbnails. Please refer to the attached screenshot for clarity.
When I load a PDF document, I expect to see an expand arrow or button associated with the selected PDF file(s) in the Thumbnails window (visually, not just in text). I typically use this feature to shuffle, move, or delete pages within the document.

Hello Jasunai,
Apologies! Tis type of question is usually asked int he Editor section of our forums and I didn't see at all that your enquiry is PDF-Tools related.
So I presume it is this dialogue that you were looking for? It would now show after the step where you do select the source documents, and before the file is saved - allowing you to do the page rearrangements that you might need.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Split/Merge PDFs
Sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Upon reviewing/observing your screenshot I noticed "Page Repository" pane is missing in my case. I see only details and Thumbnails pane in the editor(Choose Input Files). It appears Page repository is missing in which I should be able to to see that expand arrow mark I guess. see the attached screenshot.
Could you please help me on how to get to a screen as depicted in your screenshot. I wanted to see that Expand arrow mark in front of the PDF file chosen in the editor (Choose Input Files), also that "Page Repository " pane.- Stefan - PDF-XChange

Re: Split/Merge PDFs
Hello Jasunai,
The pages repository dialogue will appear in the next step.
The first one you select the files to be merged/split, and then when you click OK on that - you would on the next step have the dialogue from my screenshot.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Split/Merge PDFs
Hello Jasunai,
I think the UI might have changed a bit lately - maybe when some of the other options were adjusted and made into a drop down menu. I believe that this dialogue was indeed appearing maybe a step earlier in the past, but can not be certain as it has been a while since I've tested those dialogues.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Split/Merge PDFs
Now I understood. the catch/glitch was selecting "Show setup dialog while running" that made me to confuse and took an extra dialogue step which I couldn't understand.
