I'm using PDF XChange Editor Plus 10.4.4 Built 392 and Windows 10 and Outlook 2016 32 Bit.
When trying to convert E-Mails to a PDF portfolio the following message shows up:
"Unable to save email file into user's temporary folder"
Converting works fine with a small number of e-Mails but not with a larger number.
Is there any restriction on number of files or size?

Re: PDF-XChange Outlook add-in
Hi, Rainer135
thanks for the report. Is there a size threshold you can observe? I just tested with Outlook from Office 2021 and haven't been able to reproduce this yet.
I am not sure if this is due to the newer version or file size. If I know the file size that causes this for you I can at least test that.

Re: PDF-XChange Outlook add-in
Hello Paul,
Thanks for the reply and Happy New Year!
I tried in a first folder:
I can convert the first 122 mails, PDF file size is 112.155 KB
With one mail more the error occurs.
In a second folder I can convert 426 mails with PDF file size 243.592 KB
With one mail more the error occurs.
So there seems no specific threshold for number or size of file.
But I can see that if file size will be way too high the error message pops up shortly after pushing the button "create portfolio".
If file size gets closer to the threshold error message pops up after a while working in background. (But always before the progress bar pops up.)
I hope this helps.

Re: PDF-XChange Outlook add-in
Hello, Rainer135
You mentioned this is the 32-bit version of Outlook. Is your version of windows also 32-bit, or are you running 32-bit office on a 64-bit machine? I ask because using the wrong architecture could lead to issues like this. As our software can only be installed on a machine which matches the installer architecture, if you have a 64-bit machine, you have the 64-bit version of our software.
If you are on a 64-bit machine, I would recommend that you try to get a 64-bit version of office to match, as that should result in more stability across the board.
Looking at the quantity and size variance you provided between two separate folders, I may also take a guess that these details are irrelevant, and that the actual issue is the specific email you have selected as the 123rd, and 427th in each folder. I wonder if there is some aspect of those, perhaps they are a very long chain, or contain a number of large attachments, which rapidly increase the size of the operation, and push the conversion process beyond the limits of an extension for the 32-bit Office application.
Can you try again, confirming if the cutoff point is unchanged today (If it is still 122 and 426 emails in both folders), and then try *not* selecting the very first email from your previous test, and instead adding the next after the final (So in effect selecting still selecting the same quantity, but with emails 2-123 and 2-427 instead) to see if the same issue occurs. If it does, try converting only the 123rd and 427th emails from those folders on their own, and see if either of those files fails to process on their lonesome.
Kind regards,
