Converting PDF documents to MS Word

Post by MichaelS3046 »

I need to convert and/or print my PDF documents into MS Word, fully editable, documents. In Adobe, this was easy to do simply by "saving" the document as a MS Word file. When I try to do this, in PDF-Xchange, the test in the Word file created is included as images, instead of editable text. How do save my PDF as an authentic Word Document with editable text?

Most probably, Adobe first runs OCR (image to text) automatically, before converting to MS Word.

In PDF-XChange Editor, you will have to run this process manually, via the Convert-ribbon > OCR (Enhanced), creating a new PDF.
After the text-recognition has finished, convert again to MS Word and see what it gives.

Hello Willy Van Nuffel,

Thanks for the help! Indeed - assuming the test is done with the same file - most likely an OCR is performed silently.

@MichaelS3046 - if you have a sample file that you have processed with the other product and our Editor - can you please share with us 3 files (original source and the two converts) - so that we can take a look?

Kind regards,
Stefan
