Hello,
I created a customized toolbar that contains all the buttons I need so that I only have one toolbar and as much space for the document as possible. In this toolbar, I also added all the search buttons I found but still, when I press CTRL + F to search, the standard search toolbar pops up and thereby reduces the space available to show the document.
Here is a screenshot:
(Unfortunately, the screenshot does not show in the preview although the image is shown when I enter the url in a new tab. Maybe someone can fix this?)
I would expect the search to start in the search field marked in green but instead, the default search bar with the field marked in red is opened.
Did I do something wrong? How can I fix this?
Thanks!
Search opens Search toolbar

Re: Search opens Search toolbar
Hi,
The corresponding "Find"-command in the list, in PDF-XChange Viewer, should be in the Category of "Edit"-commands:
Find : Enter search here...
If dragging that command to your toolbar does not work with CTRL + F, then while in "Customize Toolbars..."-mode:
- remove the non-working (green) item, and after that
- drag-and-drop the working (red) item at the desired place.
Does that help ?
Kind regards.

Re: Search opens Search toolbar
Hello Willy Van Nuffel,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Given that the Viewer's toolbars were quite a bit different - it might still not work but is worth a try. I know for sure that e.g. the "Properties" toolbar would have always showed up separately and can not e.g. be incorporated in another toolbar so I suspect the same might be true for the Find one.
In any case - the Viewer can no longer receive any updates, so if it does not work, unfortunately there is no way for us to change this behaviour and I would strongly recommend @Phyllo to consider moving over to the Editor if practical (and then you can still use the Classic UI for the Editor which is as close to the viewer as possible).
Kind regards,
Stefan

Thank you for the suggestions.
I found the command with the shortcut CTRL + F in the list and dragged the corresponding field into my toolbar, it is the one marked in green. But it still opens the separate search toolbar.
I will give the editor a try as suggested by Stefan.

Did you also try with dragging the search-field (in red) from that toolbar to the other, instead of taking the search-field from the commands-list ?
