I feel like there are several items that impact the OnEvent routine that are not document in the help file that I have downloaded. Is there a complete listing of the SetProperty routines you can call to raise the OnEvent routine. How often is the help file updated?

Hi tdonovan,

while the help file does not necessarily get updated every build we do try to keep it as current as possible. The SDK help files need a bit more attention at the moment that the end user ones and I'll see if we can get you some feedback about what will happen with these. It is the SDK help file you are referring to I assume.

As to a current comprehensive list of the "OnEvent routines" I have asked the dev team to advise if there are any that are not in the current Viewer SDK help.

For events with type PXCVA_OnPropertyChanged you can see many names of properties which are not described in the help. If they are not described in the help - it means that you can use (change) them but there is no guarantee that the component will react to these changes correctly. On the contrary - if such name is described in the help it is guaranteed normal operation with it.
All events with other types should be described in help. In any case you can make the list of undocumented events which you are interested in - we can comment them.
We try to make our SDK Help always actual.

Thanks, maybe a clarification would help me. My license is PDFXChange Pro 4 SDK. That gives me a Viewer license as well. Do I need to download both or just the PDFXChange Pro 4 SDK. When I look at my system, in the menu created PDFX-Change Pro 4 SDK\SDK Helps, there are PDF and help files for the viewer, but the dates on mine are in 2008. Do I need to download the Viewer SDK each time. It may be my confusion is more that I have multiple files and I have been looking at the wrong one.

Hi tdonovan,

you are correct that you need to download the Viewer Active-X SDK as well. Your Pro SDK license entitles you to both the driver SDK and Viewer SDK even though they are separate downloads.

Note also that the licensing is different for Viewer enabled apps than driver or tools only. There is a separate Viewer License agreement that is installed in the start menu of the Viewer SDK that, if you haven't already done you will need to fill out, agree to, sign and return to us before we raise for you a serial to unlock the Viewer enabled components. You need to pass this in your code to your viewer enabled app to unlock it.
