French Document-Find function not highlighting properly

When opening in the PDF-XChange Viewer (v2.54.0) a French-language document and performing a search -- even when doing so with words that do not include accented characters, if the line of text that the search term is found on includes accented characters, then the highlight for the located term is off but between 1 and 3 characters. We belieive this to be due to the double-byte nature of the extended character set within the PDF document.

This is a Tracker PDF control issue as the same does not occur in Adobe Reader.

Attached is a sample page from a French-language document that can be used to demonstrate that the hoghlight is properly placed when the search term occurs on a line PRIOR to any accented characters and can be off by as much as 3 characters if the search term is after accented characters on the same line. It is a line-by-line phenomenon.

thanks for the sample it does seem to be a problem. I can reproduce what you describe in that sample document. The dev team have been notified and we will investigate this.

on further investigation it has become apparent that the issue is not with the Viewer but with the document itself. If you open the document in Adobe Reader you can see the same issue with search result highlighting being displaced.
