Upgrading from Viewer to Editor: import settings?
Having just upgraded from Viewer to Editor, I would like to transfer my existing settings. Viewer had an export/import settings function under the "Edit" menu, but I don't see anything like that in Editor. Is there a way to do this? I have extensively customized settings, and it would be a drag to reset them all manually! Thanks.

Hi critStock,
at present you cannot export your settings from the Editor to the Viewer. I'm not sure if this is planned, it may be. I'll see what I can find out. I think that because the settings are not the same and there are so many differences it may not be practical.

Thanks for the prompt response, Paul. That's too bad, but understandable if the underlying settings would need a lot of "translation" between architectures. However, I would like to request that the Editor get an export/import function between different installations of the Editor--so I can set up both my installations to be identical.
Cheers,

Hi critStock,
It's definitely a great idea (I'm in the same boat!) - if Paul hasn't done so already, though I suspect that he has, I'll definitely make sure that this gets looked at, though do note that if the Developers find such a feature feasible, it's likely one that could take a while to be able to implement.
Cheers,
Will
