Hi there,
I'm using PDF-XChange Editor v3.0 (Build 301.0) after upgrading from the Viewer. I'm evaluating the upgrade in preparation for deployment to our SOE in the company I work for and one feature in Viewer I am unable to find is to be able to re-order a page. We are currently using the viewer v2.5 (Build 200.0).
Previously you could, in the thumbnail view, drag a page between other pages effectively 're-ordering' the content of the PDF document. With Editor, this doesn't seem to work and it just gives me a highlight box.
Have I missed setting an option or is this still a work in progress of this feature?
Thanks in advance!
Julian.

Re: Page Re-ordering
Hi Julian,
welcome to the forums and thanks for the post.
Reordering pages this way is not yet in the Editor. It's coming soon however, it should be in one of the next couple of builds.

Re: Page Re-ordering
Sometimes I wonder why it was not possible to further develop PDF-XChange Viewer and to make the Editor out of it...
PDF-XChange Viewer already has so much functionality and it is so user-friendly...
It is a pitty that all this code has to be re-written and that the 'warm water' has to be re-invented...
But sometimes is not possible to continue building on a platform that is not 100% suited for it, so you have to restart from zero... In either case, I'm sure your developers will do their best to make Editor as good or even better than the Viewer.
Kind regards.

Hi Willy,
the re-factoring was needed to both allow the improvements in a more efficient manner as well as making the code safe for developers. As you say, sometimes it is better to "start from zero".
