Paste bug

Post by BobM »

Highlighting text using the Select Text tool, then copying and pasting it in the same document, causes the text to be pasted OK, but the resultant font (sans san) is different from the source (times new roman), it's red, and has a red box around it. (Although editing it, causes the font to revert to times new roman).

Also, searching for the text using the Find or Search functions, only shows the source match, not the pasted match.

And since we're talking about searches, unlike PDF Viewer, the Find criteria isn't automatically copied to the Search dialogue window - can this be fixed.

Thanks.

Hi Bob,

The pasted text is in a text box area - and the default appearance for it is for the text and border to be red. Once customization is enabled - you would be able to change this default to something less intrusive :)

As for the search results - the "search in comments" option in the advanced search is not yet available. As soon as ths option is selectable - the pasted text would also appear in the search results.

Regards,
Stefan

OK thanks.

However, is my last point about the automatic transfer of criteria from the "Find" dialogue to the "Search" dialogue likely to be implemented (as it is in PDFX Viewer)?

Hi Bob,

Yes it's quite likely indeed!

Cheers,
