Remove advertising icon from Top-Right corner

Tell me please how to remove advertising icon from the Top-Right corner in PDF viewer using Viewer ActiveX SDK?

Hello costea,

You need to have a valid license and then you can go to Edit -> Preferences -> Registration and click the "Hide add bar" checkbox.

Tell me please how to do this from the code. We are using the Active X component in a WPF application and need to hide the advertising icon from the code using API.

Hi Costea,

If there are more options that you would like to set as defaults - you might consider making all of them active in an End user installation, then export the settings to data file, and then load that settings file right after initializing our control.

Otherwise - just add a "HideAD" Dword with value 1 in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer\Registration and all should be fine.

The Viewer ActiveX Control does not show AD-icon definitely (when you have the SDK-license or not, doesn't matter). BUT if you are using our plugin for Internet Explorer then AD-icon will be shown when you have not installed end-user's PRO-license key OR when [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer\Registration\HideAD] == 0.

I have tried to set the given registry value [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer\Registration\HideAD] to 1 but the Advertising Icon is not removed.

My version of PDF-XChange Viewer is 2.5 (Build 211.0) 0 Jun 17 2013

Can you advise me something?

Is this the stand alone Viewer or an AX control embedded in your application?

I have checked in stand alone Viewer and in AX control embedded in the WPF application . The behavior is the same, add icon in the top-right.

Please remove the Standalone version completely and re-install only the SDK and advise if this helps ..

Please try inserting your license keys in one of our example applications and compiling and testing one of those.

If still you have problems - please email support@pdf-xchange.com with your license info and serials etc - please do not post here.

Please also ZIP and email the sample application you tried the above test with - with the keys inserted and compiled - please supply by source code and compiled versions and we will analyse and respond.
