It would be nice when using the Firefox PDF viewer if it would support jump to page. Using other web PDF viewers one can supply a URL by which the viewer will jump to page upon loading using the syntax provided on the Adobe website:
https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe ... pdf#page=8
Could such a feature be introduced?

Please make sure to update to build 311 of the Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads
and your link should work as expected. I tested in Opera (but the plug in is the same as for FireFox) - and it opened on the 8th page for me.

The update upgraded the PDF-XChange Editor Netscape Gecko Plugin to 5.5.311.0.
