Delete (or change) many elements with the same object number or text

Regarding PHK's question about object number, I have had the same questions a few times... Sometimes an object I want to delete has the same object number throughout different pages, so it's a shame you can't select all objects (base content only? Not annotations?) with the same object number.

No answer seems to be coming forth. A deep secret or a rogue artifact?

No deep secret, and certainly not an artifact. The general concept of object numbers are pretty much what you expect, an object specific identifier. If two visually separate objects use the same number, the two items are likely connected (This is somewhat adjacent to the concept of "instances" of image content, and the "Xform" containers used for certain types of grouped content items).

The reason my post was delayed here, is because I am still unsure why exactly these numbers seem to sometimes change randomly when re-opening. I was waiting for a reply from the dev team, but they have been very busy lately, and so I haven't heard from them yet.
