How to remove editor from my pro 4?

Post by Boise12345 »

I am not trying to be a "hater" but I have lost too much funcionality by adding editor. I cannot copy and past notes from typewritter and cannot re-define my prefered font style and size. I LOVE the fact that the font can be rotated as well as objects..... Can you please tell me how to remove editor until those features are fixed. Thank you!

Hi Boise,

the Editor and Viewer exist side by side in their current form so you should not have lost anything. You should still have all the features of the Viewer simply by using the Viewer. You should have the best of both worlds.

Is it that the Editor opens by default when you double click a PDF and that you want it to open in the Viewer? As long as you didn't explicitly uninstall the Viewer both should be available and setting the Viewer back to being the default app is simple, either:

1. open the PDF-XChange Viewer from the Windows Start menu and from within the Viewer go to Edit --> Preferences --> File Associations --> Make default PDF viewer [button]

2. Go to a PDF in your files system by browsing to it in the Windows Explorer file browser (NOT Internet Explorer) Right click the PDF --> Open With --> Choose default Program.

If you want to you can remove the Editor from your system using the "Programs and Features" applet in the Windows Control Panel and you can at any time install the Viewer again if it is no longer there: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip

I hope that helps.

Hi all,

I did some work in editor and I basically destroyed my layouts. Of course I have back-up so no loss..... I'm sure since I am such a rookie that I have some settings wrong or slightly a miss. I will attach two files. A before and after. Maybe you can take a look and let me know what I am doing wrong. I basically use the font adjust ment tool to move some text and that is it.

Thanks,

I should have described this better..... When I say I used the "font adjustment tool" I should have stated that it was the "edit content" tool. I have done some testing and this "edit content" tool is the cause of my problem or at least I can repeat it with regularity. Thanks for your help.
