Multiple instances & Shortcuts?

Post by bob_sun »

Hi,

Nice to see the new editor (catching up with Foxit 6.0!) :-)

Two questions:
1. How to allow multiple instances?
2. How to customize shortcuts?

Hi bob_sun,

Thanks for the post - there isn't a way to specifically enable multiple instances, as of yet, but you can open documents in multiple instances by first opening them in a tabbed view, then grabbing the tab and dragging it off of the main 'dock', then releasing the tab.

There is also no way to customize shortcuts in the Editor, but this should be coming one of the next build releases.

Hope that helps!

Thank you.

OK, I see it.

To me opening in multiple instances at startup is valuable. I often open up to 10 tech documents, and if each needs to be split from the main window by dragging it is very inconvenient.

And Foxit 6 which is ribbon UI based allow start up in multiple instance, and it already has most of the functionalities of PDF-Xchange Editor, yet for free. As a paid user I really hope Tracker could make PDF Xchange once again better than Foxit.
