Dear developer.
I'm using Japanese version PDF-XChange editor. I use only keyboard to edit bookmark for quick editing. In this case, I have a problem. For instance,
1.
To edit bookmark, I push F2 key. To input Japanese character, I enable IME. In this mode, space-key has a function to change character from alphabet to Japanese Kanji.
2.
After editing bookmark, I push Enter-key. BUT, In this timing, PDF-XChagne doesn't control (= disable) IME. Therefore, space-key is managed by IME continuously.
3.
I push cursor-key to change focus to next bookmark and push space-key to jump next bookmark. But space-key doesn't have effect. Because space-key is managed by IME.
4.
I have to disable IME manually... Then, I push space-key again to jump next bookmark.
The problem is the uncontrolled IME in step.2. Other application (Windows explorer and so on) controls IME correctly when edit is finished. If PDF-XChange supports it, I can avoid the complicated manual IME disable in Step.4.
Thanks.

Hi tamakazu kitamura,
Thanks for the post - could you please detail what you mean by "IME"? I'm afraid that it's not immediately clear and a Google searched hasn't turned up anything helpful.
Also, could you please provide clarification on what you mean here, as I'm not sure that I understand:

Re: Correct IME control on Bookmark
Hi Will,
Thank you for you support and sorry for not enough information.
IME means Input Method Editor. For instance, Japanese version MS-Windows has 'Microsoft IME' as default IME.
https://www.microsoft.com/ja-jp/office/ ... navIndex=3
Also, Google provides 'Google Japanese Input'.
https://www.google.co.jp/ime/
I found the information on Windows Dev Center.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar ... 67426.aspx
Japanese keyboard has a special key 'Kanji (Hankaku/Zenkaku)' to enable/disable IME.
Navigation window of Windows explorer looks like Bookmark window of PDF-XChange, right?
On navigation window of Windows explorer, the key doesn't work. But, when I change folder name (after pushing F2 key), the key works to input Japanese characters.
Meanwhile, the key always works on Bookmark window of PDF-XChange. If IME is disabled, space-key works to jump bookmark. If IME is enabled, space-key is hooked by IME. Space-key doesn't work to jump bookmark. I think, IME should be disabled automatically when bookmark isn't been editing as same as Windows explorer.
I wish these information helps your understanding.
Thanks,
Tama

Re: Correct IME control on Bookmark
Hi Tama,
Thanks for the info. and clarification - I'm not 100% sure that this is something we can control. I suspect that it works this way in Windows Explorer because it was made to work that with Explorer, not the reverse.
Could you please test this with another PDF Reader and advise on the behaviour that you see?
Cheers,

Re: Correct IME control on Bookmark
Hi Will.
Thank you for your supporting and sorry for late reply.
I tested some PDF viewers. I realized a fact. Probably, the subject of this topic is wrong.
I tested Adobe Reader and PDF-XChange Viewer (not Editor).
The special key, enable/disable IME, works on All PDF readers. But I have no problem on Adobe Reader and PDF-XChange Viewer. Because, they supports enter-key to jump to bookmark. If IME is enabled, space-key is stolen by IME. But enter-key isn't stolen. Enter key works on both condition, 'Enable IME' and 'Disable IME'.
Normally, I use enter-key on the tree-view like PDF-XChange's bookmark window. Adobe Reader and PDF-Xchange viewer doesn't support enter-key officially. But it works. Only PDF-Xchange Editor doesn't support enter-key.
If possible, please support enter-key on bookmark window to jump to bookmark. Enter-key isn't disturbed by IME condition.
Regards,
Tama
