9.1.356.0 How to count the instances of a given word

How best can I count the instances of a given word?
Find/Search highlight all instances, but I see no count displayed. So best I've found is to click through the matches, counting the clicks.
Thanks.

Hello chrisjj,
Please open the advanced search pane (Ctrl + Shift + F), and there you will have a counter as well.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Thanks. That opened the regular search pane, but indeed with count. Great!
By the way, your devs might like to know that pane's UI affords opportunity for improvement
* "WHAT would you like to search?" is incorrect. ...like to
find is correct. (Search haystack, find needle.)
* The Search button label has an ellipsis but shouldn't.
* The Search button is missing its default button indicator.
* The name that appears below the Search button during search of all open documents isn't the current document, as I presume is intended, but the first regardless.

Hi Chrisjj,
To count the instances of a given word, I recommend trying a PDF word counter tool, which allows you to quickly find and count specific words or phrases in your PDF documents.
While PDF-XChange allows you to search for words, it doesn't display the count directly. You can use the PDF Word Counter to easily find word counts and even extract the text for further analysis.
Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you need more assistance.

Hello, monikapaaro
Thank you for the suggestion, however, the Editor most definitely offers a count of the number of results for a specific work when using the "find" (Ctrl_F) function:

With that said, it wouldnt be able to offer counts for multiple separate words in a single search operation, nor can it extract that text as you mention.
