I seem to have the same difficulty. I have installed the latest version of PDF XChange Editor (9.5.367.0) on my new computer (Windows 11 home). I do not have Enhanced OCR and the classic one was working just fine for me. Seems to still work alright in English (I haven't tested other languages). But the German OCR is not working reliably. In the screenshot below, I set it to OCR the entire document. Only fractions of it are processed. Other parts of similar image quality are not:

Any idea what might be wrong?

Could I ask you to please send us a copy of the document which you are performing this OCR on? It would also be helpful if you could please include a screenshot of your help > about window, for confirmation.
