Copy paste base elements can't move, paste size location

I suggest that the base content you copy and paste over from one PDF to another will be ready to be moved and resized, without you having to choose it again in the new document – because you would obviously want to move it to find the right position, which you will probably not get from Ctrl+V /right clicking and choosing paste

edit: apparently you are able to move it right away when your chosen tool is "Select Text"
So maybe you could make sure that the pasted base content stays selected when you have chosen another tool (such as the typewriter tool in my case)

On a similar note...
I see that base content is not pasted where my cursor is (like it is with stamps)

The size is also not the same... even though both documents are in A4,

are there any settings for this?

Hello MedBooster,

The size should be preserved - can you please share a sample of the input and target files - as well as some screenshots of what you are trying to copy - so that I can test with the same here on my end?

Kind regards,
Stefan

ok. what about pasting to the cursor and retaining the ability to move base content when pasting and having a comment tool active?

Hello MedBooster,

For me I had no issues with pasting the base content objects and they remaining selected.
Just switch to the "Edit content tool" in the file you were pasting into - and you should have your selection ready to be moved:

actually if the base content you paste is unselected and not movable when you paste it,
you can switch to the "edit Objects" tool and without clicking it you will be able to move it with your arrow keys

PS:

still no paste at cursor location function in the works for base content (like for annotations)?

Hello, MedBooster

I think you initial post is repeating what Stefan just confirmed, but I am glad to hear that works for you. As for paste at mouse of base content, this works as long as you have a base content editing tool selected before pasting:

Simply Right click > paste, to paste at mouse position.
