Hi Support,

While I like the idea and see this as visual improvement for ocument's tab ... in some occasions I really do not want that thumbnail there.

So: can this be turned off? Or even better, hidden for some and left visible for some other documents?

I cannot seem to find an option for this at the moment, I could have sworn it was here somewhere... I will check in with the dev team, perhaps I am just missing it. If not, I will ask them if we can offer this in the future.

The team has just confirmed, that this is not possible at this time. Document specific toggle likely will not be possible, but a global toggle could perhaps be added in the future, though I cannot promise anything at this juncture.

Could I ask what scenarios there are when you want to hide these? or more directly, what it is about them that makes it distracting/cumbersome to have them in place for the handful you do not need, when there are still some that you do?

In short: I'm using the AxControl to display different types of documents, not only pdf. For some document types/formats I'm injecting my own viewer. This involves using custom panes and also hiding the Ipxv_pagesview (and some other more complex stuff) of an empty (new, in memory) pxc/pxv document (the one I'm hiding the pages view for).

As a result, that thumbnail displays an empty page for this "document" - and just makes no sense and confuses.

Yes, I know I'm doing weird stuff, but all works like a charm due to how powerful your sdk is

Hm .... actually, maybe I can find an even better purpose for it (the thumbnail).

As explained it displays empty now, I will simply add some stuff to the first page - so it is not empty.

Case closed even better than expected

I'm glad to hear you found an option that works for you. Vasyl has seen this now as well, and we will consider adding an option for hiding these in the future
