PDF XChange Viewer 2.5 shows incorrect frames

Post by MaPeTo »

Hello,
my viewer shows incorrect frames around text areas of P&ID-drawings:

This shows the result with another viewer:
grafik(2).png

How can I get rid of the frames.

Best regards

Manfred

Hello Manfred,

This is an artefact of how those frames were created by the CAD software that generated them - they do not conform to the PDF specification strictly (they are not wrong, however they do specify a colour/border that technically should be displayed if we are to conform fully with the ISO spec). The Viewer was doing such a strict conformance - and as such you would see those there.
The solution is to update to the Editor:

Where we would recognize such elements and not display them (even though we really should be).

Kind regards,
Stefan
