Automatic OCR PDF-Printer

Is there a way for OCR to happen automatically when printing to the PDF-Xchange PDF printer. We have a process that requires print to PDF and then edits of the PDF. Once it's printed to PDF and opens in PDF editor OCR has to be ran as the text is not editable after the print to pdf.

you can do this with PDF-XChange Pro by using PDF-Tools, the Printer and Editor together:

Set up PDF-Tool to OCR the document. Here I cloned the OCR Tool made sure to hide the Tool,s UI and open the resultant PDF in the PDF-Xchange editor (my system default fore PDFs)

Then with a right click on the tool I copy it''s identifier:

and use that in the "Save" section of the Printer preferences:

and you should get this:

The upshot is that I send something to the printer, it gets automatically OCR'd and then opened in the Editor.

I am hoping you can please assist.

I am trying to automate the process that when I print a PDF using PDF-XChange Standard, that the print job uses custom OCR Tool in PDF-Tools.

I followed the below instructions and created the below tool named Auto-OCR After Print. The tool runs correctly when run from PDT-Tools

I have edited the Save option in PDF-XChange Standard printing preferences.

When I select Print I receive error Tool requested to run is not found

There is a typo in the parameters of the Run Application command - it uses /Run Tool {ID} instead of /RunTool {ID}.

The /RunTool command should be specified without a space.
