How to use search to search a sharepoint library online

I can open files from Sharepoint after "add a place" that is working.
If I try and open from url I get an error. Image below.
What I need to do is to be able to use the search function to search for a document or content from sharepoint.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi, docitusa
thanks for the excellent post. We do not currently have a function to search SharePoint sites, only SMB shares and local files I am afraid.
To search a SharePoint document you will need to open it first.
You should however be able to use "Open from URL" if you copy a link this way:
I just tested that and it is working.
Did you know that if you have our top tier product, the
PDF-Xchange Pro suite, you can use "Open in PDF-Xchange" directly from SharePoint? :

Paul,
Thanks for the response.. The error message I sent I was getting when I tried to open from URL using the Sharepoint link. Any idea why I am getting that error?
Being able to search Sharepoint would be an awesome function..
Thanks

Hi, docitusa
are you using this option to copy the link?
They used to offer two ways to copy links, one that worked, and one that didn't. I am wondering how up to date your site is and if you are seeing the same as me.
