speech engine favourites
Would it be possible to enable an option to add favourites – and somehow pin selected voices to the top of the drop-down list?
This would be quite useful for switching between different languages or voices without having to search through a list of 50+ voices for some text-to-speech engines...

Here Loki@99 shows how you can get plenty of voice engines through Microsoft SAPI 5 x

Hello MedBooster,
It is a bit unusual to have so many speech languages, but one of my colleagues tested - and it seems like the order of your languages in Windows has effect on the way they are listed in the Editor as well. So if you order them correctly in Windows - you should have your most needed ones on top of your list in the Editor as well.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hi,
@Medbooster
As a workaround, you can simply chose the multilingual options form the Voices list after adding
Microsoft online voices

hmm.. still no way to add favourites/presets? It would have been nice to be able to save not only your favourites and have them pinned to the top , but also with your favourite pitch and speech rate.. otherwise you lose these settings when you switch between languages (it seems)

Hello MedBooster,
Given that those speech engine languages are managed by windows, and that the majority of users will not need to regularly switch let alone have favourites - I do not think such a feature request will be approved. I will ask but please do not have high hopes on that!
Kind regards,
Stefan
