3D PDF (U3D) - object is partially invisible
If I open a 3D-PDF file and rotate it, some parts get invisible as you can see in the screenshots below.
Is there a kind of setting I have to tick that the object is always fully displayed regardless of the rotation?
The first screenshot show the whole object, while the second screenshot show the object if it is rotated.
Tested with PDF-XChange Editor v10.4.3 build 391 and older versions.
Thank you

Re: 3D PDF (U3D) - object is partially invisible
Hello IT-Services,
Welcome to out forums!
Can you please confirm which build of our products are you using (you can check that in Help -> About), and if it is not the latest - update to build 392?
If you are already at the latest build and the issue is still there - can we please have a copy of the 3D file to pass to our dev team for further investigation?
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello IT-Services,
Thanks for the sample file! I can reproduce the behaviour in the Editor and not in other third party tools I tested, so asking my colleagues to take a look!
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello Stefan,
are there already some news on that topic?
If this could take a while to fix it, I will have to take care of an alternative way until it is fixed.
Thank you

Hello IT-Services,
Apologies for the delay with following up on this one. Yes my colleagues confirmed that this needs addressing, and asked me to make a ticket in our internal system for your sample file:
#7206: Editor 392: 3D PDF (U3D) - object is partially invisible
We will post again here when there is any news in the ticket.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
any news on that topic?
If it will take a few weeks more to fix it, we will need to switch to a different PDF Tool one some machines as this is a main issue for us.
Thank you in advance and best regards
Markus

Hello IT-Services,
At the moment I see that it has been assigned to a developer, but I can not give you an estimate as to when it would be fixed, sorry!
So yes - it could be a few more weeks before there is any movement on that ticket.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello IT-Services,
Apologies for the delay in following up here.
Yes - the ticket has been marked as resolved for build 393 (the current latest), so please update and it should be fixed.
I did a quick test on my side and it does seem to now be showing your file properly!
Kind regards,
Stefan
