Locking field when signing

Is there a way to choose a field (e.g. dropdown box) and associate with a signature field?
I would like to:
1. Choose a selection in the “dropdown box 1” and automatically sign “signature field 1”.
• Locks “Signature field 1, drop box 1”;
• “Signature field 2, drop box 2” still unlocked.
2.Other user will choose a selection in the “dropdown box 2” and automatically sign “signature field 2”.
• All fields will be locked.

Hello EduardoMartins,

Applying a digital signature requires you saving (a copy of) the document, so I do not believe it is possible for one form field to add a signature in another and then lock it. However when a digital signature is applied that would usually make the field "locked" anyway, and no second signature can be placed in the same field.

May I please ask for a bit more details on the use case that necessitates such locking?

Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello Stefan

The purpose is to, more than on user make a selection (e.g. a dropdown box) .After selection the field should be locked to changes and need to be identified with the person that made the change/choise.
In the same document similar field on the side needs to behave the same way for a different user (Selection ➝ lock ➝ identify person).

Best regards.

Hello EduardoMartins,

So you would effectively need the dropdown field to be locked when the file is signed by say the first person. However there is no such option for signatures to selectively lock only some fields. You can either lock all or none.

An alternative would be to ask each person to make their chose and send the modified file via e-mail. That way you can have a copy of the file (with a time stamp from the mail server) as to what option was selected by that user.

Kind regards,
Stefan
