Bookmark destination for selected (cursor-highlighted) text

Is this a thing to enable?

Or will the destination for bookmarks made with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+B be based on (window-center?) page position anyway?

It's a bit difficult to get the destination right... I kinda want the destination to be the whole page, or top of the page regardless. soo often I end up having to use single page mode for the destination to not end up on the wrong page.

Hello MedBooster,

If not the whole page is visible when you make the bookmark - the Ctrl + Shift + B will create a bookmark pointing to that specific location on your page:

Hello MedBooster,

I recommend enabling the "Use Selected Region as Destination" option.

For your information, as mentioned in the following topic, the behavior of "Add Bookmark" from the context menu in Two Pages mode etc. might be improved in the future so that the page you right-click on becomes the destination page for the bookmark.

  • Behavior of the "Add Bookmark" command (ID: cmd.addBookmark) in the context menu in page view
