F2 rename keyboard shortcut not working

Hi all,
The F2 shortcut to rename a file is not working--nothing happens when I hit the F2 key. All other keyboard shortcuts that I've used/tested work. Has anyone encountered this issue?

Hello stutopp,
By default, the F2 shortcut key is assigned to the ID:cmd.rename command. This is used to rename items in the Bookmarks pane, Named Destinations pane, etc. The function you are probably looking for is the feature to change a document filename in the ID:cmd.renamdDoc command. There is no shortcut key assigned to this one by default, so you will need to set something up yourself.
Best regards,

Cool. I previously found my way to that particular screen, but did not read/process it correctly

.
Looks like I can map F2 to file rename as well, and the shortcut will rename the selected item, OR, if nothing is selected, rename the document. Good enough for me

. TY!

That's why I use shift+F2 to rename the document itself, for the functions not to overlap with other renaming functions
