It would be very useful to have a function which generates bookmarks from links.

The bookmark name would be the text which has the link (plus optional prefix/suffix, macro enabled) and the bookmark would be positioned at the appropriate point just after the bookmark for the start of the page which contains the link (if that page is bookmarked otherwise just after the next previous bookmarked page).

There would be the usual options to select the links to process - e.g. page number range and optionally a regex match.

That other topic was not some years ago, but only about 6 months ago. I am sorry to say that as I mentioned in my latest reply there, this is not currently a planned function, but the Dev team may reconsider it in the future.

In the future, if you do find an older topic directly related to the item you mean to ask about, please feel free to put the full details into that thread, instead of opening a new one.

You are right - of course - I misread the date.

I saw the other post (and commented) which was about what functions currently exist but then thought it would be more appropriate to post on this forum because I wanted to make a "new feature request".
