Replace font typewriter, font size → cutoff (fit to width on multiple comments/annotations simultaneously)

So when I increase the font size the typewriter field doesn't expand to the right...

and when I select all of the annotations in the comments pane and use my fit to width keyboard shortcut they don't get fit to width either (maybe this is limited to one at a time?)

Is this something you could improve?

Do you see what I mean?

I guess in a sense it would make sense for it to not expand ... but how would I then perform fit to width to all 30+ typewriter comments?

➁ And fit to width doesn't seem to fit the typewriter text to the very right border of the document like it used to , is this by design?

Edit: I see now that you have to increase the width first. Makes sense. I guess this has been changed. I like it better now. This way if you have formatted it to expand across multiple lines you don't lose it when you use "fit to width"

➂ Actually... to fix the cutoff you can just select all annotations and use arrange to increase the width, BUUUUUT what would help a lot here would be if you could use the FIT TO WIDTH function on MULTIPLE annotations simultaneously... you see if you have increased the size and it is on multiple lines you can only get it on one line AFTER having increased the width (with the arrange functions) , which makes sense

Hello, MedBooster

So long as all the items you have selected are text type comments, such as typewriters, text boxes, or callouts, you can use the "fit" functions with multiple selected?

I am not sure what else it is you are looking for here...

Kind regards,

I was trying to explain how fit to content doesn't work properly until AFTER you have manually increased the size of all typewriter fields.

I want fit to width to actually fit the width to the end of the page (right side) or until there actually is a line break (Enter). but for when you increase the font size by 3-4 times with the "replace font" tool the typewriter field doesn't even expand to fit the text.

Please give it a try when you have time. :)

I will try and follow your instructions from here to increase the field size perhaps, and thereafter do fit to content or width. (I think you only have one function currently?)

Hello, MedBooster

I am afraid this was an intentional change to the typewriter tool. "Fit to width" now retains the "width" of the Typewriter comment(s) in question, and works functionally the same as with the "textbox" tool. This was changed by demand as it was causing confusion.
"Why is the width changing when I chose to fit the content to the current width?" was one of the most common questions we would see.

As such, I am afraid that this will not be changing back to the old handling. If you need to resize your typewriter comments, it will need to be done manually.

You can however, use the arrange functions to help "normalize" the size of your typewriter comments, incase you wanted something of that ilk to occur:
