We have forms as part of PDF XChange, and I know how to do a signature field, but can we do one, where people can write a signature in the field (manually sign). I realise that you can do this through the protect, manage tab.

What we have is a form we need staff to take to site, and the client representative person on site who verifies work being done, needs to sign the form. We dont want to manually create signatures for every person we ask to sign the form.

Is there a way of doing this?

The Field itself is not what handles this so nothing we put into the field data would help in this situation.
Any signature field can accept that type of input, including the ones we create. A "written signature" function is something that needs to be offered by the application in use at the time of signing. Currently, we do not offer such a feature for "one time sign" actions, all digital signatures used in our software must be created/installed in a (to some degree) "reusable" way.

This may be something we offer in the future, but it is not currently available through our software.
