Page Numbering with Roman Numerals

Post by jeffp »

I just received the note below from one of my users. I believe this is an issue you may want to address if you haven't already.

USER COMMENTS:
The Foreword and Contents portions of many books, manuals, user's guides, etc. have the page numbering in Roman numerals and then the first chapter starts with our Arabic numbering system. In Adobe Reader, the navigation field displays the correct numbering system but when the same document is opened in the PDF Editor [ViewerAX], the Pages Navigation Toolbar at the bottom shows the pages numbered serially from the very first page in Arabic numerals. This causes confusion when referencing a page number in the original book by relying on the number displayed in FileCenter's "Pages Navigation Toolbar".

See attached example.
